My Story

Engineer, architect, and founder building what Africa runs on.

I started in 2020 as a lead developer and IT consultant at Kaizen IT Group, shipping WordPress, PHP and React platforms for clients across South Africa and Zimbabwe.

By 2021 I joined Tech24 Group as an ICT Implementation & Support Engineer, deploying Ameyo and Exotel contact-centre platforms for BancABC, NBS, ZimNat and First Mutual Life — enabling 300+ agents — and leading nationwide WaveTec Queue Management rollouts for EcoBank, ZB Bank and POSB.

In 2022 I moved into senior software development, architecting ERP and CRM platforms and delivering 100+ enterprise websites and applications for ZESA, TIMB, ZERA, ESWUZ and BPO Council Zimbabwe.

As Founder of Code Labs Alliance, I built a multi-country digital services company spanning Zimbabwe, Botswana and the wider SADC region. Today I'm focused on AI full-stack engineering and the systems that make organisations resilient.

I own the end-to-end development and maintenance of business applications — ensuring seamless functionality across front-end and back-end, and delivering responsive, secure, high-performance digital solutions that support innovation and operational excellence.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain full-stack business applications meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Build responsive, accessible interfaces using modern frameworks — React, Angular, Next or Vue.js.
  • Develop robust server-side logic, APIs and microservices with Node.js, Python, Java or .NET.
  • Design and manage relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL) and non-relational (Redis, MongoDB) databases.
  • Create and integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs for seamless system and third-party communication.
  • Apply secure coding practices and embed security controls throughout the development lifecycle for regulatory compliance.
  • Write and maintain unit, integration and end-to-end tests for reliability and performance.
  • Participate in agile cycles — sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
  • Use Git for version control and engage actively in code reviews and collaborative development.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker) and cloud deployments on AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Contribute to system-architecture decisions and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, QA engineers and DevOps specialists.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and modern frameworks (React, Angular, Next, Vue.js).
  • Solid back-end development with Node.js, Python, Java or .NET, including API security (OAuth2, JWT).
  • Hands-on relational and NoSQL databases — schema design and query optimization.
  • Understanding of modern application-design approaches and their trade-offs.
  • DevOps familiarity — CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Security-by-design, secure coding and compliance with data-protection standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork.
  • Thrives in agile, collaborative, fast-paced environments.
